Shaun Monson, a distinguished American filmmaker and fervent supporter of animal rights and environmental causes, is best known for his remarkable work on the 2005 documentary Earthlings. This revealing production, which Monson not only penned but also directed and produced, delves into the subject of animal rights within multiple industries including those related to pets, food, fashion, entertainment, and animal testing.
Monson co-founded Nation Earth, the production company that breathed life into Earthlings. He continued his quest for creating thought-provoking content with a sequel to Earthlings titled Unity, a film that investigates the shared consciousness amongst humans, animals, and nature.
Since the mid-1990s, Monson has committed to a vegetarian lifestyle, later transitioning to veganism.
